  • Doors will open at 8.15am and juvenile / junior solo numbers need to be collected by 8.30am. First round will start at 8.45am starting with Ballroom

  • Phase 2 - Juvenile / Junior couples events will start just after 1pm. Latin will be first. Please collect couple numbers by 12.30pm

  • Adult solo events will start at 2.30pm. Please collect your numbers by 2pm and you will start with Latin

  • Phase 3 will consist of Adult Solo, Juvenile / Junior couples ballroom and selected adult couple events. Please collect numbers by 2pm

  • ​Phase 4 will consist of all other adult ballroom events. Timings will be confirmed nearer the day when entries are in and we are clearer on the turnout of preceding events although last year we started around 5pm.

  • Phase 5 is all adult Latin events (apart from solos which will be in Phase 3. Timings to be confirmed

 

TRAVEL

  • Chessington is an area of London that ULEZ has expanded into. Chessington World of Adventures (which is next door to our competition venue) has confirmed the ULEZ expansion includes 'all entrances to the resort, which may affect those driving to us - vehicles need to meet certain emission standards for motorists to avoid paying the daily ULEZ charge.' The theme-park adds: 'Motorists driving to the resort with vehicles that don't meet the requirements will have to pay the daily charge or face a fine.'

  • We will still accept entries on the day but please enter as soon as you arrive as we wont be able to hold the competition up

  • If you find you cant now make the event, please email us as soon as possible as that may impact the timetable

Changes to Phases...

Over the next few TMFDANCE events we are trialing some changes to the phases of those events to try to be more friendly to both child and adult competitors. For the Epsom Trophy Day on 5th May 2024, the phases will be as follows...

Phase 1 - The day will start with Juvenile and Junior Solos and these will dance to completion before any couple events start. Ballroom First and Latin second. This means Juveniles and Juniors who are only doing couples events can have a lie-in!

Phase 2 - The second phase will be Juvenile and Junior couples Latin. We are doing Latin first as this will mean anybody competing in both Solo and Couple events wont need to change clothes for this phase as they will already be dressed for Latin

There will be approximately a 30 minute gap between phases 2 and 3 to allow for prizes, couples to change & warm-up and judges to have their lunch!

Phase 3 - this will include Juvenile and Junior couples Ballroom as well as adult solos and selected adult ballroom events. This will allow adult beginners / novice as well as Senior 2 & 3 and all ladies couples to start dancing around 2.30pm. The adult and child events will be interspersed so there is more down time between rounds and, importantly, the adults can start dancing earlier without having to wait for kids events to finish

Phase 4 - this will be the remaining adult Ballroom events. These will start after the kids events have finished but may overlap with the finals of the selected adult ballroom events in Phase 3

Phase 5 - Adult Latin - all events

Adult Beginners and Novice are FREE!!!
What's the catch? There is no catch! To try to support the growth of Open Circuit dancing and encourage newcomers to have a go, TMFDANCE will not be charging entrance fees to competitors who meet the following criteria...
